I recently read a book called "Mindset: The New Psychology of Success" by Carol Dweck. In it, she talks about two types of mindsets: fixed and growth. A fixed mindset means you believe your abilities are set in stone and can't be changed. A growth mindset means you believe you can change yourself. Learn to embrace the latter and believe that you have control over your success. Then, you will become confident in your own ability to improve and stop dwelling over how someone might be smarter or more gifted than you. Remember that everyone is at a different point in their lives. The only thing we can do is constantly seek growth!
Thank you for such an inspiring post. The problem is, sometimes my growth mindset ends up being too extreme and I compare myself too much with people better than me, lowering my self esteem. How would I deal with this?
